SMS Terms
Effective date: May 22, 2026
These SMS Terms describe the messaging program operated by Fox Receipts (a product of Allpath Enterprises LLC). They are part of, and incorporated into, our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
The short version. When you sign up at app.foxreceipts.com and verify your mobile number, you consent to receive SMS and MMS messages from Fox Receipts about your receipts, account, and service. Message frequency varies based on how often you submit receipts โ typically up to 30 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out. Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected]. We do not sell or share your mobile phone number, or any information associated with it, with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes.
1. How you opt in
Opt-in happens during onboarding at app.foxreceipts.comafter you complete checkout. On the "Verify your phone" step you enter your US or Canadian mobile number. Before submitting, you read and agree to the consent text directly above the submit button, which states:
By verifying your mobile number, you agree to receive transactional SMS and MMS messages from Fox Receipts about your receipts, your account, and service updates. Message frequency varies (typically up to 30/month). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and these SMS Terms.
We then send a 6-digit verification code by SMS. You confirm by entering the code, which completes the opt-in. We retain a record of your consent (timestamp, IP address, user agent) for as long as your account is active.
2. What messages you'll receive
Fox Receipts only sends transactional messages tied to your account. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS. You can expect:
- Verification codes: a one-time code when you sign up or change your number.
- Receipt confirmations: a short reply each time you text us a receipt photo, confirming the merchant, amount, category, and (optionally) estimated tax savings.
- Sync confirmations: a note when a receipt successfully syncs to your accounting platform (QuickBooks, Wave, FreshBooks, Xero, or Zoho Books).
- Needs-review prompts: a short message when our OCR isn't sure about a receipt and needs your input.
- Account alerts: payment failures, plan changes, monthly receipt-limit reminders, and similar service notifications.
Sample messages
โ Saved: $42.18 at Shell, May 22. Vehicle fuel (Schedule C line 9). Synced to QuickBooks. Reply M to edit.๐ค We couldn't read that one. Try a clearer photo, or text amount + merchant (e.g. $42 Shell).Fox Receipts: your verification code is 482910. Don't share this code. Reply STOP to opt out.
3. Frequency & cost
- Frequency: up to 30 messages per month under typical usage. Heavy users (e.g. submitting many receipts per day) may receive more; you can always reply STOP.
- Cost: Fox Receipts does not charge you per message, but your wireless carrier's standard message and data rates apply. Check your plan with your carrier.
- Carrier liability: mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
4. How to opt out
Reply STOP to any Fox Receipts message at any time. You may also reply UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, or STOPALL. We will confirm your opt-out with a final message and stop sending SMS to that number for our service.
Opting out of SMS ends the service for that number (Fox Receipts is SMS-first โ the receipt-capture pipeline depends on it). You can still access your dashboard, your existing receipts, and your tax-pack PDFs.
5. How to get help
Reply HELP to any Fox Receipts message for an auto-reply with our support contact. You can also reply INFO or SUPPORT, or email [email protected] directly. A human responds during US business hours.
6. Resubscribe
If you opted out and want messages again, reply START. You can also re-verify your number in the dashboard at app.foxreceipts.com/settings.
7. Eligible numbers & geographic scope
Fox Receipts SMS is currently available to US (+1) and Canadian (+1) mobile numbers. Landlines and VoIP numbers may not receive messages. We do not knowingly enroll numbers outside the US or Canada.
8. Privacy & data sharing
Your mobile number and any data tied to your SMS interactions (timestamps, message content, opt-in/opt-out state) are used solely to operate the service. We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose your mobile number, or any information associated with it, to any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes.
We share SMS data only with the service providers necessary to deliver messages: Twilio (registered A2P 10DLC operator that transmits the messages) and Supabase (US database hosting where we record opt-in state). See our Privacy Policy for the full list of subprocessors and our retention practices.
